The year 2008 has been successful for SC Motor Sich in the context of sport of high results.
The SC has prepared:

  • 34 prize-winners of Ukrainian championships;

  • 5 prize-winners of European championships among juniors;
  • 1 world champion among juniors;
  • 2 winners of European Cup;
  • 2 prize-winners of European Cup;
  • 2 champions of Europe;
  • 3 prize-winners of European championships;
  • 3 Olympic Games players;
  • 3 Para Olympic Games champions;
  • 2 Para Olympic Games winners;

  • Prize-winners of junior European championships are: Nikolaj Ptashnik has ranked II in lifting kettlebells (double-event) and III in relay race;Victoria Potekhina has ranked II in diving from a 1-m springboard and III in diving from the tower; Alina Chaplenko has ranked II in diving from a 3-m springboard.
    Champions of junior European championships are:Nathaliya Plishchak has ranked I in pulling up kettlebells;Alina Chaplenko has ranked I in diving from the tower.
    Prize-winners of European Cup are: Lyudmila Litvinenko has ranked II in blitz draughts;Daria Tkachenko has ranked II in blitz draughts.
    Champions of European Cup are: Lyudmila Litvinenko has ranked I in classical draughts; Daria Tkachenko has ranked I in classical draughts.
    Nathaliya Plishchak and Lyubow Cherepakha have won gold medals at the European kettlebell championship in pull-up.
    Prize-winners of European championships are: Alina Chaplenko has ranked II in synchronized diving from the tower; Anton Zakharov has ranked III in synchronized diving from the springboard; Yana Lazebriy has ranked III in underwater sport (1500 m free-style).
    Alina Lazebriy has become a world champion among juniors in underwater relay race 4х200 free-style.
    Prize-winners of World Championship among juniors are: Mikhail Krivobokov has ranked III in pressing kettlebells; Alina Lazebriy has ranked II in underwater relay race 4х300 in free-style.
    The results shown by our sportsmen at XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing Anton Zakharov has ranked 29th in diving from the tower; Irina Amshennikova has ranked 16th in swimming (relay race 4х100 comb.), 37th in backstroke (100 m), 33th in backstroke (200 m); Nathalie Samorodina has ranked 23d in swimming (10 km).
    Fedyna Alexey has won 3 gold medals at XIII Para Olympic Games for swimming 50 m by free-style, 100 m by breast-stroke, and 200 m by compl.; and 2 silver medals for swimming 100 m by free-style and for backstroke of 100 m.
    The highest results at Ukrainian championships have been shown by: Motor team in handball super league; Irina Amshennikova, Marina Golovenko, Alina Povstianaya, Nathaliya Samorodina, Lyubow Korol in swimming; Anton Zakharov, Alina Chaplenko in diving. Prize-winners of Ukrainian championships are: Motor-2 team in handball supreme league; Yana Lazebriy and Alina Lazebriy in underwater sport; Igor Kirzner in draughts; Andrey Nikishenko, Lyubow Korol, Ilia Chuev, Aleksey Fedyna, Sergey Belov, Nathaliya Samorodina, Alina Povstianaya, Svetlana Bondarenko in swimming; Alina Chaplenko, Evgeniya Ponomarenko, Anton Zakharov, Anton Kalinin, Irina Babukhina for diving; Vladislav Afonin, Dariya Yakovleva for taekwando.
