AI-9 Gas-Turbine Engine

The AI-9 auxiliary gas-turbine engine is used as a ground and in-flight power source, effecting the supply of compressed air to the starting system of the Yak-40 aircraft engine and of the Mi-14, Ka-27, Ka-28, Ka-29, Ka-32, Ka-32A, Ka-50, Ka-52, Ka-62 helicopter engines. The AI-9 engine is a self-contained constructionally independent unit, provided with a fuel supply equipment, a self-contained oil system and an operation control system.
